Welcome to The 5th International Conference on Smart Materials and Nanotechnology (SmartMat@2020)
Dear Friends and Colleagues,Highligh from our plenary speakers!!!
Plenary talk I
Prof.Dr. Shunjun Zhang (University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia)
Shujun Zhang is Professor at ISEM, Australian Institute for Innovative Materials, University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. He received a diploma in Chemistry (BSc) from Applied Chemistry Department of Shandong University, China (1994), and a PhD on Solid State Chemistry from Institute of Crystal Materials, Shandong University, in 2000. After the completion of his PhD study, he joined Materials Research Laboratory of The Pennsylvania State University as a postdoctoral scholar in the same year. He was promoted to Professor at Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Senior Scientist at Materials Research Institute of The Pennsylvania State University in 2014.
He holds 8 US patents and has published over 500 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals (https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?user=TnytfhkAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao) and delivered 200 presentations, including over 100 invited talks at conferences, workshops in industries and academies. He is associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transaction on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectric and Frequency Control; associate editor for Journal of the American Ceramic Society, Science Bulletin and Journal of Electronic Materials; section Editor-in-Chief of Crystals. He has been a member of Electronics Division of the American Ceramic Society since 2002 and senior member of IEEE since 2010, he was elected AdCom member of IEEE-UFFC society (2016-2018). He was a recipient of Ferroelectrics Young Investigator Award of IEEE UFFC Society in 2011.
His current interests are focused on electronic materials, including ceramics, crystals, textured ceramics and composites, understanding the fabrication-microstructure-property-performance relationship of the functional materials and their potential applications for piezoelectric sensor, acoustic transducer, energy harvesting, solid state cooling and energy storage.
